[Guidelines for Proposals] [PDF version]

1. Deadline for submission: Friday 31 May 2019 (Japan time)

2. Address for submission: hayashi35jsmes[AT]gmail.com (Kunihiko Hayashi, Shobi University)
* Submissions are accepted only by email. Please resubmit all the documents if you do not receive any confirmation email within 24 hours after submission.

3. Those who wish to give papers are asked to pay particular attention to the following two points:
(1) What you present must be unpublished and unpresented.
* Please refrain from submitting what you have already presented/published or are planning to present/publish on other occasions (including the east and west branches of this society) or in other media such as journals.
(2) If you are not a member of this society yet, you must become one by the time you present.

4. Submission documents

(A) Papers [30 minutes for presentation + 10 minutes for discussion]

(1) Cover (with the title of the paper, your name and affiliation)
Please write everything in Japanese and English. The Japanese title is unnecessary if you present in English. What you write here will be used in the programme and poster for the congress, so please provide accurate information.

(2) Title of the paper (in Japanese and English) and a short version of the abstract (about 400 characters if Japanese; about 200 words if English)
The Japanese title is unnecessary if you present in English. If so, please add a note to that effect at the end of the abstract.

(3) Title of the paper and a long version of the abstract (no more than 1,000 characters if Japanese; no more than 500 words if English)

(4) Bibliography
Please include only what you have read by the time of submission.

(5) Whether or not you plan to use a computer

[Notes]
* Please use the designated application form template (A4 size) to create the submission documents. You can download and obtain the template on the web page that appears if you click the item “応募フォーム” after placing the cursor over the heading “全国大会” at the top of the JSMES-website.
* Please include each of (1) to (5) on a separate page of the same file. (The downloadable application form template already has this format.) Do not mention your name or affiliation in (2) to (4).
* Please send a brief CV to your chair, who will be announced after your proposal is accepted.

(B) Symposia

(1) Cover (with the title of the symposium, titles for each paper, names and affiliations for each speaker)
Please write everything in Japanese and English. Japanese titles are unnecessary if presentations are given in English. What you write here will be used in the programme and poster for the congress, so please provide accurate information.

(2) Title of the symposium, titles for each paper (in Japanese and English), abstracts for the chair and each speaker (about 400 characters if Japanese; about 200 words if English)
Japanese titles are unnecessary if presentations are given in English. If so, please add a note to that effect at the end of the abstract.

(3) Bibliography
Please include only what you have read by the time of submission.

(4) Whether or not you plan to use a computer

[Notes]
* Please use the designated application form template (A4 size) to create the submission documents. You can download and obtain the template on the web page that appears if you click the item “応募フォーム” after placing the cursor over the heading “全国大会” at the top of the JSMES-website.
* Please include each of (1) to (4) on a separate page of the same file. (The downloadable application form template already has this format.) Do not mention your name or affiliation in (2) and (3).

When the review finishes, every applicant will receive the decision and comments of the congress organising committee on his/her abstract. If your proposal is accepted, you will be asked to resubmit a short version of the abstract to appear in the programme. You can make changes based on the comments as appropriate.
